New Zealand Mosaic Art Exhibition
Yes it is very close now - very exciting to see how many people have entered pieces of art and signed up for workshops. This weekend will be a great success - hope to see many of you there.

Mosaic Gardens around the World

My mosaic garden has taken a bit of a back seat these days as I am working fulltime at Sandspit Road School, and loving it.  Although I have had time to mark out the first two gardens and where the cafe and outside eating areas will be.  Just waiting on hubby to build the first of many fences and then I can begin planting.  I know, a bit late in the season for planting, but I will just have to be vigilant over summer to ensure they all survive.

I am always inspired and a little overwhelmed when I come across other mosaic gardens and this one in Italy certainly blew my socks off.  'The Tarot Garden', created by Niki de Saint Phalle, is based on the Tarot Cards and can be found in Tuscany, Italy.  Visit the website to see the how the garden took shape over many, many years.

If you know of any other mosaic gardens around the world please do share and I will put them in next month's newsletter.

Mosaic Classes
The last mosaic class was held on 3rd September in Birkenhead.  We had a wonderful day and fantastic projects were created.  Thank you to the people who joined me on this day.

I have been receiving quite a few emails requesting a class so I will be organising another class soon, possibly the 19th November.

If you would like to learn the basics of mosaic design and the use of tools and materials, then come along for a fun filled day of creativity and laughter.

All information can be found on: www.everythingmosaic.co.nz

I look forward to seeing you there.
