Mosaic Videos
I have added some new videos to my website, I hope you find them interesting.
1. How to cut glass leaves and complex shapes using glass wheeled cutters. These videos are by Lou-Ann Weeks, an accomplished mosaic artist who shares her tips for creating great mosaics.
2. Leaf Casting - this is a great video explaining the process of using leaves and concrete to produce bases that can be used for mosaics.

Mosaic Artists
I just love discovering artists, reading about their journey and admiring their art. Here are two I think are fabulous. The first one is new to me and the second I have loved and admired for years. I hope you find their story and work inspirational too.
Janice Corbishley
I have just discovered this wonderful New Zealand artist. As one reviewer stated: "Her work is absolutely stunning, sensual and breathtaking. She designed clothing in the 80's and to her, "mosaic is like dress making with porcelain with a bit of poetry thrown in.""
To view all her wonderful art visit her website: http://www.janicecorbishley.co.nz/
Sonia King
"I create art to give tangible shape and form to the unknowable, creating a map to places I’ll never find again. There isn’t a destination: the process is the objective."
I love this statement by Sonia because so often my own work starts out one way and ends in another, the process takes over and I end up in an entirely different place than I thought I would. It's great to know that I am not alone in this process.
