Wonderful New Products
I recently received my latest shipment of tiles and oh my goodness they are gorgeous. So the shelves are spilling over with tiles just waiting to be part of your next mosaic project. Check them all out.
Mosaics Everywhere
I come across wonderful mosaic stories everyday and thought I'd share just two of them with you this month. These stories prove that mosaics last and last and last.
Jim Bachor in Chicago has been repairing the potholes in the roads around Chicago with flower mosaics. What a great idea. A lovely way to add some colour to our streets.
Ancient Greek Mosaic
Two days after bones found in northern Greece were confirmed to be those of Alexander the Great’s father, archaeologists excavating a vast ancient tomb in Amphipolis uncovered an intricate floor mosaic that could signal another royal Macedonian grave.
The mosaic, measuring three metres by 4.5 metres wide, depicts a horseman with a laurel wreath driving a chariot and two horses after Hermes, the Greek god of travel and guide to the underworld.
